the book lover

This week's Scribble Picnic is Curtain. As you can tell, this piece is not finished. It's in the not-yet-finished-drawing stage which means, it probably won't get finished for months. Where is the curtain? It is the vines which I seem to draw a lot not just in this piece. Click on the closeups to see it clearer. For more Scribble Picnic, go here.

    1. well, she's a mermaid so there would not be conventional curtains for her.

  6. What a vivid imagination you have Lissa ... these drawings are beautiful and detailed and I can see why it takes you a long time to finish a piece. I hope we will get to see what you do with colors especially in your viney curtain :)

    1. the octopus was sort of added at the last moment as I want the mermaid to have a reading companion.

  8. This is such (another) fantastic piece! You never cease to amaze me with your work. I LOVE how her hair is long, braided and weaving in and around her and the tub she's in. The scales on your mermaid are beyond STUNNING! On top of your signature books, tea cup and octopus. LOVE it!! :)

  10. Vines are a great interpretation for the theme, Lissa. Thank you. I love all the details here...from the mermaid scales to her amazing long hair platte and so on! So glad you could work it out for this week and employ your mainstays, as it were, to stamp it with your brand.

"It's in the not-yet-finished-drawing stage which means, it probably won't get finished for months." --Well, at least you have goals to complete this one! So hope you show it latr or add buttons or something to complete it for the next theme which I jsut added.

Sorry, I was late here and there, as I've had some seriously long nights of work projects lately!

    1. finishing my artworks is something I want to do, though, I'm not always motivated enough to finish them, so I don't set goals to finish, rather, just try to finish.

don't know about adding buttons or the other themes as I don't see them fitting into this piece.

thanks for stopping by. have a lovely day.
