leia in wonderland

'leia in wonderland'  unfinished - closeup
This week's Scribble Picnic theme is 'Classic'. I wasn't going to post since I didn't finish this piece. Can you tell which two classic themes are in this piece?

The scans are hard to see since there's no color so click on the images for larger views.

    1. no, not ring and teacup, more like movies and books. although most of my pieces does have tea cups and such.

the themes I used here are 'alice in wonderland' and 'star wars.' alice with the playing cards, teapot/teacup. star wars with chewbacca, princess leia-like hair.

thanks for your visit, have a lovely day.

  3. This is fabulous. I don't care if it's finished, it is stunning. I knew immediately which two themes were used. Your drawing and the title gave it away immediately.

    1. I did thought the title is pretty much a giveaway but maybe some people don't know 'alice in wonderland' or 'star wars.'

  5. Oh my gosh...this is a brilliant take on the classic theme. I would have NEVER thought of combining 2 different classics into one and you've done a fine job. Amazing detail as always. LOVE the little chewbaca doll!! :)

    1. actually, I wouldn't have thought of combining the two either except that I did. it's what happens during the process of creating - new ideas come out and I'm glad they did.

  7. Obviously it's Alice in Wonderland and Princess Leia from Star Wars. TWO CLASSIC movies. oooh what a clever mash up interpretation. And I'm sooo glad you posted the sketch, Lissa. It's always fabulous having you here. We've missed you. I love this. I hope you can finish it...maybe with the next theme prompt. Read the post I created for it to help you get an idea. Could be great for this piece. Thank you sooo much.

    1. well, the theme/prompt came and when I still haven't finished the piece but somehow three colors just doesn't work for this piece. I guess we'll see.
