Wanted: words & phrases

For the A-Z challenge, I'll be writing short fiction which sounds simple enough but for some reason, I couldn't think of any ideas. So far, I have only one story written because for reasons I don't even know, I haven't any idea what to write. I could use my old stories but I really want to write new stories. So if you can, just drop a few words in the comments so that I may use them as a sort of prompt to write something. You can even suggest story ideas. Thank you!

Update: For the A-Z Challenge, I will I be writing fiction and making miscellaneous lists with no specific themes. Any words/phrases, suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

  1. I love your short fiction. It was that and your poetry which made me first follow you.

I have no story ideas for you, if I did I would keep them for myself because it's the one element of storytelling I really struggle with. But here are some words ...

    starlight
    white rose
    shadows
    bruised
    languid
    thunderous
    softly

    1. do keep ideas to yourself, I think it's not always easy to get ideas but words & phrases does sometimes makes you think. thanks for your words.

  3. Hi Lissa.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I have been playing with the idea of short fiction for this year's challenge, but boy it is hard to contain a plot and entice the reader in a limited number of words. So I'm really looking forward to visiting you in April.
I'm toying with the idea of 'coffee' as a prompt to write for C--just saying, one never knows where I'll land on C day...but, it's a thought.
    All the best.

    1. it's hard to write short stories as even if you don't limit the words, you just know it shouldn't be too long or else people might not want to read it. enjoy the challenge whatever you write. good luck.

thanks for visiting, have a lovely day.
