Top Ten Thursday: some words before the year ends

This week's Top Ten Thursday is list all the things that need to be said or done before the year ends. My list are quotes/words that I heard that seems to match my own sensibility/state of mind. I like to remember and share them here.

01/ 'Pardon my catastrophe'
– I saw this on a blog but I can't remember the link

02/ "I have no idea what I'm doing, but I know I'm doing it really well."
– from the tv show Parks and Recreation

03/ "Please don’t expect me to always be good and kind and loving. There are times when I will be cold and thoughtless and hard to understand."
Sylvia Plath

04/ "I don't procrastinate. I just like to do things later."
– from the tv show Bored to Death

05/ "Don't say anything too emotional. It will be uncomfortable."
– from the pilot of the tv show Forever

06/ "The world is balance on the knife edge of destruction every single day. Accept that and you can get on with things."
– from the tv show Elementary in the epsiode 'The Red Team'

07/ "I wish I could say everything in one word. I hate all the things that can happen between the beginning of a sentence and the end."
Leonard Cohen

08/ "Sometimes I think I have felt everything I’m ever gonna feel. And from here on out, I’m not gonna feel anything new. Just lesser versions of what I’ve already felt."
– from the 2013 movie Her

09/ "I'm not nice. I'm just...highly susceptible to guilt."
– from the tv show Wonderfalls

10/ "Expect problems and eat them for breakfast."
– Alfred A. Montapert

    1. cleaning - that's what I need to do too but there's only 3 days left of the year so I'm just going to slack off and it's too cold to clean anyway.

thanks for dropping by. have a lovely day.

  2. Interesting quotes, some make me laugh, some make me nod in agreement, and the last one makes me go "whaaat?" If I can have pancakes I'd rather have them instead of problems...

Thanks for playing along in 2017 - see you next year! :-)

    1. that last one was like an encouragement of sorts but yes, if I can have pancakes for breakfast, I'll probably choose that instead of problems.

  4. Love these... especially the last one. :)

I feel like I've run out of things to do and say in 2017. I have been terrified, overjoyed, enraged, devastated, blank, and at this point I'm just exhausted. I think 2017 deserves a hearty "Good riddance!" and a wave goodbye, haha.

    2018 will be better, though!
