    1. oh yes, chocolate cake - that one should be on my list too.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

  2. Interesting collection - very different from mine! "Chinese Swiss Rolls"??? That cracks me up!
Just the other day I saw a video how things are called after a place that has nothing to do with the product, like Swiss rolls. I don't think we invented them or something. (Maybe it's also true for NY cheesecake?) Also we have no brand called "Swiss Miss" in Switzerland ;-)

    1. to be honest, I'm not sure if 'chinese swiss rolls' is actually the correct term, I just searched the intenet & it seems to be what they're call. probably the chinese part isn't really true either.

maybe ny invented the cheesecake or they're famous for it? I'm not even sure what's true.

Swiss Miss' - I think that's an american brand, at least, I know they make hot chocolate mixes.

food is food even if they have foolish names, right?

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

  3. Great list Lissa and I'm feeling hungry just reading it. I've tried everything on it except for sweet potato pie which sound great. My husband makes a yummy pumpkin pie so I'll have to get him to try it with sweet potatoes instead.
Coconut buns are delicious and like you I prefer the ones with white cream.
    Have a great week Lissa.

    1. the sweet potato pie is quite different from pumpkin pie, more on the sweet side which is probably why I like it more.

thanks for visiting, have a lovely day.

  4. Yummy sounding pastries. I don't eat things like this very often, but today I found myself wanting to make shortbread cookies of some sort.

    1. I haven't been eating anything on list lately either, but I still like them now and then.

thanks for visiting, have a lovely day.
