Scribble Picnic: Miss Dot-Dot

'miss dot-dot, gardener extraordinaire'

This week's Scribble Picnic is 'ladybug/ladybird'.  Here's a piece that took shape very quickly. I'm actually surprised I finished in time, I usually spend a lot of time picking out colors and I still sort of not liking some of the colors but it's not so bad.

'Six hands are better than two' - that's what Miss Dot-Dot, gardener extraordinaire, would say. If you're ever in need of garden dreams, she will create one for you and send it your way.

  1. Oh dear....I love her. She is a multitasker. Know wonder she accomplished so much. I would too, with some extra hands. Love this... You technique is so refreshing and clean.

  2. I definitely need a Miss Dot-Dot to help in my garden Lissa - or I must perhaps try to grow additional arms!
This is so amazing - I wish my ladybirds were this beautiful. The closeups in your collage are so good - bugs on the scarf and a blue bug on her shoulder. Oh gosh, you really nailed it again - just fantastic!

  5. Oh boy ... there have been times that I have wished I was Miss Dot-Dot. She sure has the right idea. I wonder why we were not created with more hands. Oh well, I am guessing it wouldn't matter how many we had, we would think we needed more. Very artsy clever Lissa ...

  6. Beautiful piece with perfect colours. I especially love that whilst busy she's still able to have a cup of tea/coffee - my kind of woman.

I do like all the details and her lovely face. Drawing the six hands would have taken me a week alone! I really do love your art.

PS I now see a dogs face in my piece as well.

    1. I do love that ladybug scarf/handkerchief because you do need one of these while gardening to wipe the sweat of some other useful things. I have no idea since I don't garden.

  13. I love those eyes! Well, I love the whole thing really and would actually love to have six hands to get more things done. Though I think sometimes we all need to take a break from multi-tasking and just focus on one thing at a time. You've chosen such beautiful colors for this.
