Fairy Mail

'fairy mail'
This week's Scribble Picnic is mail or letters. This piece is not quite finished. I'm thinking of doing a series of alphabet and fairies. So this might be M for mail. (Click on the image for a larger view.)

  3. Lissa I like the idea of a Alphabet set. This is perfect for "M". I think you and Michael had the same idea with a little redhead with pigtails. Very cute.

  5. Beautiful Lissa! Wish this little pointy-eared redhead would bring my mail - we have a miserable man who gets later and later delivering. In fact it's been around 7 pm every day this week, we (and the neighbors) are very upset.

    1. sorry to hear that, I usually do not see the mailman at all but when I do, he is a pleasant fellow who sometimes says 'here's a present for you' which is kind of nice.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

  9. I keep losing your blog because the name changes!!

I love that Emily Dickinson quotation: "I am out with lanterns, looking for myself!" Love the fairy mail illustrations!

    1. yes, so sorry about that, I can't seem to stay in one place.

I also love that emily quote - not lights but lanterns which it's correct in the time she wrote it but I like lanterns as they sound so much more poetic than lights.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

  10. I've been looking at this for a bit now and only just now noticed her wings...and this is not even one of your more filled, detailed drawings! Anwway, wonderful take on the theme. I love it. I can't imagine how long it will take to do all the letters but perhaps you can use Scribble Picnic to help you reach that goal? So, next week you coudl do B for Bird! :) Love that idea. Great job, as always, Lissa. Now, I want to see the envelopes have different names and address with the imagination you would bring to it, like "7 Umbrella Way" or such. Fun! Thank you so much for adding this to our picnic this week.

    1. her wings is a bit lost in there as they are transparent, don't know about adding addresses to those envelopes as it would get a little lost but I'll think about it. still deciding if I should do bird as the next of the series but I'm thinking.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.
