Scribble Picnic: Ladder

'cloud planting'
closeup
This week's Scribble Picnic theme is 'ladder.' I had the same idea as Tammie Lee but somehow didn't quite work on it until I saw Tammie Lee's interpretation. I didn't finished but I am so glad I started on it, so thanks Tammie. Check out other 'ladder' interpretations over at Scribble Picnic.

  2. Yes, I read on your comment there or somewhere that you weren't going to get to it this week, so what a surprise to see your piece up here! I love it. It will look incredible painted in. Cloud seeding/plating is so very you too. I always love your imagination, Lissa. Another wonderful piece. Please colour it in for us. you even have a tree there you could use for the next theme anyway! :) Thank you so much for doing this for us to all enjoy and for your lovely comments to everyone too. It certainly makes for a more enjoyable, engages picnic!

  5. It is wonder-full Lissa. I love the vines going up the ladder. I will never tire of the vines you put in your art. Plus the little tree with a cloud atop is wonderful. The idea of planted clouds is fun to consider too. A magical piece. I too look forward to seeing it colored.

  6. This is wonderful, Lissa. I LOVE the idea of "cloud planting"! I do hope you decide to color this in! And thank YOU as I believe my piece this week came to life thinking about how most of your illustrations are SO incredibly detailed and filled with various tidbits within for your readers to discover. :)

This is gorgeous. I love the book, "Cloud Planting". It's like a dream. What shall I learn to think about?

  8. I too, love the vines. They seem to be helping the cloud stay in place by holding on beautifully to the ladder. What a lovely view there must be from up there. Wonderfully done!

  9. Oh yes, plant everywhere you can - the world would be even more beautiful with flowering clouds floating overhead.
Happy weekend - the cloud formations are beautiful around here - I watched them this morning as I had my coffee on the front porch - even the moon was just visible after a busy night lighting the spring sky.

  10. The vines make that ladder look quite secure, and then what a lovely place at the top to sit and make plans without distraction!
